Sentra AI Hacker is an autonomous system for continuously assessing business security from an attacker’s perspective. Built for enterprise use, it is available through Sentra’s cloud infrastructure or as an on-premises deployment.
Generative AI is shortening the time it takes to turn a technical vulnerability into a working attack. According to research by the Cloud Security Alliance, the window between public disclosure and exploitation is shrinking from months to days, and in some cases to hours.
Periodic pentests, vulnerability scanners, and manual triage remain part of a security program, but their pace is no longer enough for continuous assessment. Businesses need to know which attack paths are open now and what to fix first.
Sentra AI Hacker uses a team of specialized AI agents to investigate the attack surface in depth. It follows the reasoning of a real attacker: conducting reconnaissance, exploring web applications and APIs, forming hypotheses, building attack chains, and validating threats.
Critical vulnerabilities are tested for actual exploitability within the authorized testing scope. This helps distinguish high-risk threats from unverified findings and false positives.
For confirmed attack chains, the system provides:
After a vulnerability is fixed, AI Hacker retests it to help confirm that the attack path is closed. This cycle supports CTEM — Continuous Threat Exposure Management, Gartner’s approach to continuously managing exposure to cyber threats.
AI Hacker finds business logic vulnerabilities and performs non-deterministic checks beyond the capabilities of conventional scanners: access control failures, unsafe API workflows, incorrect handling of identifiers and roles, excessive permissions, business logic flaws, and combinations of issues that may appear minor in isolation.
“Companies typically use many security tools and services, yet often still struggle to answer the central question: ‘How could we be breached today, and what should we fix first?’ Sentra addresses this with an AI Hacker that works within a continuous threat management cycle: regularly investigating infrastructure, tracking changes, reassessing risks, and supporting each finding with reproducible evidence.”
Maxim Bragin, Technical Lead and CEO of Sentra.
The product architecture is independent of any specific large language model, or LLM. This makes it possible to choose the most effective model for a customer’s preferences and constraints as AI technology evolves.
AI Hacker is regularly evaluated on public benchmarks and tasks from Sentra’s own lab. The technology is also validated through bug bounty programs, where the product participates as an independent researcher.
Alongside continuous infrastructure security assessment, AI Hacker supports the following use cases.
Identifying critical threats based on business risk and potential impact, with exploitability validation. This helps security teams allocate resources effectively and fix high-risk vulnerabilities before an attacker exploits them.
Integrating AI Hacker into the software development lifecycle, or SDLC, to assess application security and remediate vulnerabilities before production deployment.
Testing and improving security controls, with hands-on training for SOC, Red Team, and Blue Team members using realistic attack scenarios.
Sentra AI Hacker extends beyond AI pentesting to bring offensive security expertise together in one solution.
Sentra has completed functional testing with several systems integrators and is running pilot projects with Russian companies.
